• Me either, at all. I haven’t read contemporary in years – well light contemporary anyway. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised! Thanks for coming by!!

  1. I haven’t been reading contemporary lately, but back in my days of strictly Sarah Dessen & Meg Cabot it was ALL I read. Just listen is one of my favorites. The first three on your list all seem really interesting!

    • The first three are my most wanted reads right now – at least in the lighter contemporary genre. I haven’t read Cabot or Dessen. I’m looking forward to giving Dessen a try. Hopefully some of this will open a new genre for me. I’ve been a little stuck up about it in the past and I think I might be missing out.

      Thanks for stopping by!!!

    • Yay! I just ordered Dimple so I can’t wait for it! That is awesome, that everyone keeps telling me that about the Dessen book – looks like I picked the right one!!

  2. I love contemporary and you have put together a really great list!
I have heard so many great things about Dimple Meets Rishi and can’t wait to read it too!
Don’t worry about the Rainbow Rowell thing, I’ve only read one of her books and didn’t particularly like it. We can be outcasts together haha
I’m ashamed to say that I still haven’t read Simon vs. the Homosapiens, really need to get on that one!
Great list, I hope you get round to reading them all!

    • Woo woo! Thank god, I’m not the only outcast haha. Simon is another one that I feel everyone has read but me. Going to try and knock a bunch of these off this summer.

Thanks for the nice comments <3

  3. This is a fantastic list!! I absolutely adore FANGIRL with everything in my soul!! One of my favorite contemporaries! I also love all things Sarah Dessen, and Just Listen is one of my favorite novels by her. I recently finished Gekerella, and it was definitely a cute, fun read. Almost all the rest of these books are on my TBR as well. I hope we can chat about all these books one day!!

  4. I always get excited when I see Fangirl on people’s lists! When I first started reading it I was really annoyed by the protagonist, but she undergoes such great character growth by the end of the book that Fangirl ended up being one of my favorite contemporaries. It’s also got a super-sweet romance. 🙂
