“I’ll go, if that’s what you want … But we’re not done, Ella. Not by a long shot.”

This review will contain major spoilers.Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life. What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him. Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other. SHE MIGHT BE RIGHT.  Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy. – Excerpt from Goodreads

Another fast pace installment in the Royals series. Not as good as the first but still good trashy fun.

Broken Prince picks back up where it left off. Reed is looking for Ella after she ran because she found him in bed with Brooke. Oh the scandal! Brooke is blackmailing Reed to get him to put in a good word to his father so that Brooke can weasel her way back into the house and into Reed’s father’s bank account.

This book was fun, I don’t think it couldn’t be. Like the first it’s just an easy soap opera type of book that won’t change your life but is a great way to kill a couple of hours. I did get a bit bored at parts in this one though. Reed spent a lot of the time looking for where Ella had run off too and then spent another 100 pages trying to win her back when she returned home. I didn’t find the push and pull that engaging and I just wanted to see something new thrown at them. I already saw the cat and mouse shit in the first book – give me a new storyline damnit! Easton is messed up as per usual and it doesn’t really fix itself at all, not sure if it will.

Of course, the second Reed and Ella finally get back together then more shit hits the fan. Reed gets stabbed by the guy who tried to rape Ella in the first book. There was somewhat of a build up to this moment, you knew the guy was going to retaliate because Reed and Ella had humiliated him several times. I don’t know if that storyline is particularly strong though – it doesn’t feel fleshed out enough. Reed gets stabbed but it’s not like the end of the world – they don’t even seem THAT concerned. It’s over as soon as it begins. Just another day at the Royal house I suppose.

Of course, in true Royal fashion the book left off with a massive cliffhanger – the author is excellent at making sure you will have no choice but to pick up that next book. It ends with Brooke murdered and even crazier than that Steve shows up. Yep, Ella’s dead dad is standing in the room at the very last page. Say whaaaaaaaaat? I will be finishing up the series soon.
